In this integral role, the qualified individual coordinates validity of trauma registry data for incorporating into: Trauma performance improvement activities/projects, trauma dashboard, registry queries and data requests to support prospective and retrospective trauma research projects.  Develops additional data tracking mechanisms to assist in the concurrent abstraction of trauma registry data to support performance improvement activities and trauma research.  Maintains and supports a unique database strictly for the trauma program/trauma registry.  Active participation in the trauma performance improvement and patient safety review process from a clinical standpoint with data validation and error reconciliation.  Performs inter-rater reliability reviews and achieves proficiency and accuracy of abstraction per regulatory and departmental standards. Processes all data requests whether statistical in nature of for quality of care evaluation. Adheres to all regulatory and accrediting body requirements regarding processing of trauma patient data.
•	Bachelor’s Degree Health Information or Nursing (Preferred)
•	Must have at least 2 Years’ experience in health care  (Required)
•	Background should include at least three years of experience with direct supervision of case management staff
•	RHIA - Reg Health Information Admin (Preferred)
